I hold a masters degree in Computer Music and New Media Technology from Northern Illinois University under the study of Dr. James Phelps. During my graduate studies I taught classes and tutored students in the history, theory, and practice of electronic and computer music. I have taught workshops and private lessons on music technology, recording, and circuit bending. I have also given lectures on selected topics including the early work of Pierre Schaeffer and experimental musical interface design.
I am one of the co-founders of the InterMediaManfold (later IMMArts). IMMArts was formed in 2004 by a small group of artists and musicians living in the Dekalb, Ilinois area. IMMArts hosted concerts of new electronic music and video. The most notable were Hip Chips and Dip, the TechArt20XX series and Switch'd on Video.
I was involved with the creation of Radical Turf Records. I helped to produce 3 complilation albums of new electronic music, and I have been supportive of the label's current activities.
I am also a composer and performing musician. I have worked in Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Experimental Electronic music genres.
